Building Spaces for Communities to Thrive
The Anishinabe Campus, originally constructed in 1995 in Minneapolis, MN, has long served as an affordable housing facility for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Over the years, Loeffler Construction has partnered with the community to expand and improve the facility through multiple phases of construction.
Phase 3, the most recent effort, delivered a transformative 4-story, 42-unit supportive housing addition. Each unit offers single-room occupancy with a private bathroom, providing residents with both dignity and independence. To further strengthen the supportive housing model, the first floor includes a community dining hall and serving kitchen, ensuring residents have access to daily meals and a space for connection.
This phase builds on earlier expansions, such as the addition of Bii Gii Wiin in 2015, but marks a significant step forward in preventing homelessness and addressing chronic addiction within the community. By creating safe, stable housing with built-in support systems, the project ensures long-term impact for those most in need.
