Building Creativity for Students

To meet the community’s growing need for aquatic space, Lakeville Area Schools added a 20,604-square-foot pool facility to Century Middle School.

The addition features an eight-lane, 25-yard competition pool, a diving well with three boards, and supporting spaces. The first floor includes the competition pool, diving well, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a pool office, and a multipurpose classroom. The second floor offers seating for 468 spectators, concessions, and additional restrooms.

Designed for long-term use, the Aquatic Center serves a wide range of programs, from physical education and community swimming lessons to high school athletic competitions and club meets. Durable, low-maintenance finishes were incorporated to ensure lasting value for the District.

To support the District’s growing student population, Loeffler partnered with the District and design team to deliver two building additions totaling 15,000 square feet. Each structure was carefully designed to blend seamlessly with the existing elementary school, maintaining architectural consistency while expanding the school’s capacity and functionality.
