Modernizing Campus Utilities With Minimal Disruption

This project addressed the replacement of the failing sanitary and sewer system at Territorial Hall by removing the existing system and rerouting it into an adjacent city right-of-way.

Because the work took place in a highly trafficked area with both vehicles and pedestrians, Loeffler developed a trenchless excavation method using directional drilling to minimize disruption. This innovative approach not only preserved an existing patio but also freed up funds to address additional priorities, including parking lot and utility upgrades.
