Modern Durability for Historic Campus Structures

At the heart of the University’s campus, three academic buildings, Aldermann Hall, Haecker Hall, and the Biosystems Building, received much-needed roof replacements. Each building carried its own history, stakeholder needs, and logistical challenges, requiring a thoughtful approach to planning and delivery.

To keep the project on track, Loeffler coordinated two roofing crews and sequenced the work to ensure progress across all sites. The clay tile roofs at Haecker Hall and the Biosystems Building demanded special attention, with longer lead times. Historic elements such as rafters, soffits, trim, and flashings were carefully restored, ensuring the buildings retained their character while gaining new durability.
