Creating Solutions for Complex Projects

Due to the expansion of I-35W, the loading docks at the Nico Products facility needed to be relocated to a different area of the building. Nico Products, a family-owned metal plating and finishing company, required that plant operations remain fully active throughout construction. 

The relocation included site upgrades, exterior painting, and the transfer of critical plant operations such as steam boilers, electrical distribution panels, and production lines. Work was carefully sequenced in detailed phases to ensure the plant never experienced downtime.

This comprehensive building envelope improvement project included the full removal of an existing ballasted roofing system and installation of new Hydrotech and fully adhered EPDM roofing across approximately 180,000 square feet. The work was executed by multiple roofing crews and supported by the strategic use of tower and mobile cranes to manage materials and maintain progress across the large footprint efficiently.
